SERVICESNon Destructive Testing including X and Gamma Radiography, Ultrasonics, MPI, DPI, PMI, Hardness Testing, Thermography ,Paint Inspection,Welding Procedure, Welder Training and Qualification. LABORATORY CET Medway Ltd has two radiography enclosures at the Strood office offering radiographic capabilities ranging from 65kv to 300kv. Fully automated exposure mechanism for both X-Ray and Gamma giving the most advanced safety precautions making sure our inspectors work in the safest environment possible. A purpose built Dye Penetrant system which can accommodate very large components. A 3000 amp Magnetic Particle Bench unit. Lifting facilities of 1.5 ton via a fork lift truck. All these facilities are in the scope of our ISO 9000/2000 approval.
SITE Our versatile multi disciplined qualified inspectors in both PCN and ASNT are equipped with site vehicles and equipment to cover all type of inspection. We are the fore runners in the Digital computerised Ultrasonic reporting using Sonatest range of ultrasonic equipment and dedicated software. We have recently developed a radiographic close proximity system (PARC) in co-operation with an established electronics company. We are one of the few companies to use Selenium 75 source which not only reduces the safe working area but produces a superior quality radiograph.
We carry out thermography examination of various items for insurance purposes and predictive and preventive maintenance .We use the FLIR Therma cam system with accurate temperature range ,and thermal sensitivity of 0.12C . It stores 50 infrared images and 50 digital images of the same component for ease of recognition of thermal images. .

We are all up to speed with using our latest piece of new equipment the XLt 500 series Analyzer . It incorporates state of the art electronics and digital processing to ensure accurate identification of materials and percentage chemistry for each element . The Analyzer can be used for accurate Positive materials identification (PMI) of material or for Quality assurance purpos Site Rope Access to Inspect a crane using Magnetic particle inspection , producing benefits in safety, costs and presentation. Above all, the main benefit from Rope Access is safe working. Smaller numbers of people working for shorter periods of time present much less exposure to risk. \clip_image001.png"> It is a form of work positioning developed from techniques used in climbing and caving – the industry has an exemplary safety record which derives from rigorous adherence to the following safety characteristics: A rope access technician always has two attachments, each having an independent anchorage point When the work is supported by ropes, each of the workers ropes will have a fail safe decent mechanism All secondary tools and equipment (e.g. drills, sealant etc) are attached by lanyards to workers harness A minimum of 2 technicians are required for any job All technicians are independently assessed Training includes rescue procedures All equipment is readily inspected and maintained
What benefits can using Rope Access provide?Rope systems are installed and dismantled quickly allowing minimal disruption to everyday operations Single contact point for the client – Rope systems are installed and dismantled quickly allowing minimal disruption to everyday operations Single contact point for the client – Rope Access technicians provide the means of access and undertake the required work A practical safe solution with the ability to solve awkward and troublesome problems for clients which could otherwise absorb a disproportionate amount of time and money
Key Factor: rope access can generate considerable cost savings
